5 Jobs You Didn't Know You Wanted

Random jobs for the indecisive art, tech, or undecided student.

Ethical Hacker

Great with computer systems? Rather than go the questionably-legal route, get paid to hack into a company's systems. Identify weaknesses in their security systems and get paid to give a detailed account of their vulnerability rather than just steal sensitive and personal data for funsies. A strong computing background with focus on data security and cybercrime is recommended, along with a bachelor's in computer science, or the actual Ethical Hacker Certification. You can work for the government, military, private companies, or freelance.

Teddy Bear Repair Technician

As adorable as it sounds? YES. A teddy bear is a prized possession to most kids, so much so they are often saved into adulthood. Since these toys are one-of-a-kind loved creatures, you can not simply go into a store and buy another one, which has led to an uprising of teddy-bear techs. Whether you work for someone or freelance as one of these best-friend-fixers, you can provide some relief for their loved ones when they are attacked by dogs, or just loved a little too much.

Barbie Dress Designer

This may be a real job but it does require a degree from a fashion design school. Whether you're designing for Barbie, Bratz, or Monster High, fashion is fashion. Designing the wardrobe for these gals can earn you anywhere into a six-figure income.

Live Mannequin

Yep, this is just as it sounds. Art galleries, retail stores, and other companies will pay up-to-and-over $100 per hour for a human model. So, while trying to determine what you would like to do in the long-term, this can make you some great short-term cash.

Mobile Experience Architect

The advertisements and album covers sent to millions of tablet and cellphone screens each day are designed to make you want to spend money. Someone with a background in computer science, web design, or business, or the IT certification for professional mobile architects can earn themselves a salary ranging into six figures.

Pick any of these things up as a hobby or go big and pick one up for life. Whether you have an idea regarding your career or not, you have options. Don't freak out. If you're in a tight spot, then it's time to either learn to sew, or put-up, shut-up, and strip down.
